Following the closure of the final grants in December 2022, this evaluation provides a summative assessment of GPE’s COVID-19 support, identifying room for improvement in grant mechanisms and providing insight on which grant-funded interventions worked best and achieved results under different circumstances.

The evaluation builds on a detailed portfolio analysis of all available reporting data and relevant secondary data on the planning grant, global grant, and accelerated funding grants.

This evaluation follows the inception report published in June 2023.
