Michelle Djong Hui Ing is a consultant with the Gender Hub at the GPE Secretariat and her primary responsibilities include producing technical publications on gender and education and supporting country team leads on strengthening gender in country dialogue and grant application process.
Michelle has over 7 years of experience in the education sector and was a secondary school teacher in Singapore, where she contributed to gender equality and education within curriculum development. She previously worked in Indonesia with Save the Children International on an absence-management technology for school- and district-level stakeholders to mitigate dropouts. She has also worked on a UNESCO publication on Continuing Professional Development for teachers.
Michelle holds a master's degree in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris and an Advanced Certification in Gender Studies granted by PRESAGE, Sciences Po's Gender Studies Program. She also holds a Postgraduate diploma in education granted by the National Institute of Education in Singapore.
